In 2011, after Kriti completed its first batch of tailoring training, many of the successful trainees were eager to begin working. In response, Kriti started its production activities with seven enthusiastic women in a small room within the slum community. The journey began with patchwork quilts and bags, created by upcycling fabric remnants generously provided by Suraiyya ji from House of Kalamkari.
Today, over 60 women are engaged across Kriti’s livelihood initiatives, earning a regular and dignified income through their work.

Garment production at Kriti began in 2016 with a simple range of skirts and palazzos and expanded significantly after the establishment of our production centres. Our unit includes a full-time designer, cutting and pattern master, and production supervisor, enabling us to produce a wide range of women’s, children’s, and men’s garments.
Our team works with cotton, Chanderi, and silk fabrics (no synthetics), ensuring high-quality stitching and finishing.
We undertake job work orders for other brands, with a minimum stitching quantity of 5 pieces per size per style. Complete garment finishing—including overlocking, buttons and buttonholes, and small handwork trims—is handled in-house.
