PRODUCTS

In 2011, Kriti had completed its first batch of tailoring training and the successful trainees wanted some work. Thus, Kriti started production activities with a group of 7 enthusiastic ladies in a small room inside the slum. We started by making patchwork quilts and bags by upcycling fabric end bits given to us by Suraiyya ji, from the house of Kalamkari. Today, there are over 60 women working across the different livelihood activities and earning regular income through their work.

Tailoring job work

Garment production at Kriti started in 2016 with a simple range of skirts and palazzos, and gained momentum after the establishment of the community production center at Tolichowki in September 2017. The team at the unit includes a full time designer, cutting and pattern master and a production supervisor. The team can produce a wide range of ladies, children’s and gents garments. The fabrics that our team can handle are cotton, chanderi and silk (no synthetics).

We take on job work orders for other brands for a minimum stitching quantity of 5 pieces per size per style.

Finishing of the garments including overlocking, buttons and buttonholes, small handwork trims etc are also completed.
